welcome to sport against trafficking
Human trafficking is all around us. Every year, millions more women, men and children from every continent and nation, are affected by the horrors of trafficking. From child soldiers to child workers, from the brothels of Europe to the domestic slaves and victims of organ trafficking, they are simply everywhere. Human trafficking has many faces and respects no boundaries.
Sport against Trafficking will harness the positive power of community and sport to raise public awareness as well as funding for projects directly tackling human trafficking. Our advocacy stream will seek to provide direct actions via political lobbying and by harnessing the power of sports at a grassroots level to rehabilitate and re-integrate victims of trafficking back into society. This injustice is overwhelming but the great thing about sport is that it unites, empowers and enables people to break the mental and physical chains that bind us all. There is always hope. These victims are the most vulnerable and abused people on the planet and yet remain hidden. We can change so much by giving them a voice.
